A few months ago, Erica reached out in preparation for their family vacation for lakeside family photos at Smith Mountain Lake. This week, I was eagerly anticipating our photo session; however, Tropical Storm Debby had other plans. We made a few adjustments, and as a result, we were blessed with stunning weather by the lake. The charming Smith Mountain Lake lake house setting provided the perfect backdrop for their family photos.

The whole family was shining during their lakeside session, filled with laughter and playful moments—especially from the youngest family member. Each kiddo had their moment in front of the camera, allowing me to capture a glimpse of their unique personalities in their portraits. The session was a joy to capture, with memorable photos that reflect the warmth and connection of this special family.

As I drive home from each session or wedding, I love reflecting on my favorite moments. One standout memory from this recent lakeside shoot was seeing Pops and Gigi on the deck above the dock, soaking in the breathtaking lake view. However, I’m sure they were more so enjoying the sight of their cherished family gathered below.
